  • [S5559] Baptism (Parish Register Transcript): RICHARDS, Ann - 1853 Baptism record -- Repository for Source:- Find My Past ( Somerset Baptism Index - D/P/HAM H 2/1/7 ) -- Four transcripts of the Baptism records have been found on two separate sites - FMP and FreeReg. On each site, one transcript shows the year as 1853 and on the other 1855, although all have the same day/month. In addition, different Register Entry Numbers are reported on the FreeReg transcripts. All transcripts have Sarah recorded as the Mother, and no Father is reported. Various combinations of "Single Woman" and " Bastard Child" are shown, and some show Sarah's occupation as "Gloveress". It is therefore considered that these all relate to the same person, although whether Ann was baptised twice has been difficualt to establish.
