Mother of Clergyman Died After Extended Period of Ill Health
Boonville, June 15 - The death of Mrs Jane Lavis occurred Wednesday night at the home of her son, the Rev. Edward J Lavis following an illness of several weeks. She had been in poor health for the past two years, but had been about until recently. Mrs Lavis was born in England 75 years ago and came to this country 23 years ago, making her home with her son. She is survived by her son, the Rev E.J.Lavis and his family, and one sister, Mrs Luke Williams of Auburn. There are also three brothers and two sisters in England. The funeral will be held privately Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the home of her son, the Rev. E.J.Lavis"
