• Amy Walker was born in October 1871 in Northfield, Worcestershire, EnglandG. There are conflicting dates for Amy's Birth year. On some census records prior to the death of her husband it is 1878, although the 1911 Census gives it as October 1871, while on her Memorial after her death it is 1870. The 1926 Census (after her husbands death, the first she would directly have provided information for), indicates 1873. The Ships Passenger Listing for the Emigration in 1903 lists her as aged 25, which would make a birth year of 1878. It is possible that these earlier records were trying to hide a much greater age difference between her and her husband Hubert as the Marriage Certificate (found in August 2019) records her age as 31 which would make her year of birth as 1871.
  
  Further investigations, based on her Father's name on the Marriage Certificate, have found UK Census records for her father for 1891 and 1901. As these records include the names of individuals who are subsequently included as Witnesses on the Marriage Certificate, it is fairly conclusive that she was born in October 1871. Subsequently, a GRO Birth record, showing her Mothers Maiden name (Mathews) has been found for Q4 1871.^3,4,5,6
• Amy and Hubert John Hamilton Tapscott were married on 8 February 1903 at St Mary's ChurchG in Selly Oak, Worcestshire, EnglandG. Witnessess to the marriage included Margaret M Higham and William Walker.^7,2,3,8,1
• On 8 February 1903, she resided at 1 Serige Road (?)G in Selly Oak, Worcestshire, EnglandG.⁷
• Amy emigrated from Liverpool, EnglandG on 26 February 1903 on the "Tunisian" to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.^1,3
• As at August 1917, it is recorded that Amy and Hubert had 5 children - NB. As of April 2020, it has not been possible to find records for another child over and above the four recorded here.¹
• Letters of Administration were granted to Amy for the estate of Hubert John Hamilton Tapscott on 3 August 1925 at the Probate Registry in.⁹
• Amy died in December 1953 in Saskatchewan, CanadaG.¹⁰
• Her memorial is at Foam Lake CemeteryG in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, CanadaG. Headstone reads "MOTHER, Amy Tapscott, 1870 - 1953, At Rest".¹⁰

There is no mention of a fourth child in the 1881 and 1891 census returns, but invesitagtion has eventually found the birth and death of a "male Lawson" in 1879 registered in York where their other children were born - the mothers Maiden Surname on the Birth transcript is recorded as Bannister.³
