• No further information for Ethel has been found in UK records, but an English born Ethel M Peirce appears on multiple Passenger Lists travelling from the UK to Canada through to the mid 1950's. The first trip, in 1911, lists her as a 16 year old "Stenographer", while later records show her occupation as "Secretary". Her UK address is frequently in Dorset, and, on one occasion, is given as "C/- G Cox" - the married surname of her sister Hilda. It is therefore considered likely that Ethel emigrated to Canada although to date, no records other than the Passenger Lists (e.g. Census) have been found.
